How do I get started?

Once we agree on the budget and timeline, you may share a Project Engagement Contract. If you do not have a format, we can share ours. Once you send us the signed contract along with the quoted advance we are good to get started.
How much will it cost me?
Well that depends on the video duration, the style/medium of animation and the timeline you have. The simplest typography based animation video we produce would need you to spend at least Rs 2.0 Lacs
(or USD 3500 if you are located out of India) for 1 minute long video. Whiteboard animations, Icon based 2D animation, Character based 2D animation, Simple 3D animation and Mix-medium Computer generated animation would be subsequently costlier animation production mediums.
What are your payment terms?
We break up the payments into 2-3 phases depending on the project timeline as follows:
Phase 1: (25% or 50%) Project commissioning advance depending upon project value and duration
Phase 2: (50%) On final delivery for short projects OR On finalizing Script and Art for longer projects
Phase 3: (25%) On final delivery for longer projects
What is your costing structure like?
We break up our costing into following heads:
1.Pre-visualization: Concept and script development
2.Visualization: Character Design, Art Style, Storyboarding
3.Production : Animation production
4.Audio : Background music (Original/Royalty free), Sound Effects (SFX), Voice Over recording
How long will you take to make my video?
Typically 3 - 4 weeks for a 1 minute long video . But it totally depends on how quick we finalize the script and designs, what style and medium of animation we choose and how quick and articulated your feedbacks are. We’ve sometimes delivered videos in just 7 days.
Will I get to see some Work in Progress?
Yes Ofcourse! We share timely updates for approvals at each significant design stage.

3. Storyboard, Character Designs and art treatment
4. Animation 1st Cut
We do not proceed to the next stage until we finalize the deliverables of the previous stage. We allow up to 2 rounds of iterations and revisions for each stage. But we reccomended that you make sure that the communication content is perfect and leave the visualization to us.
Who will hold the copyright for my video?
You will be the sole owner of all copyrights for your video. We design exclusively for you. All characters, content and art works are original and the music and sounds used are either royalty free or original as per your choice. GIRGIT would hold the creative rights that enables us to showcase the content on our online portfolio after your video release. If you do not wish to make your video public let us know during the project engagement.
What all would be the final deliverables from your end?
Unless specified by you, we would deliver only the final video in HD 1080p .mp4 format (h.246 codec) video that we recommend to be best for presentation as well as online posting purpose along with the lossless.avi and sound files. If you wish more video formats, sizes, work files etc, let us know during the project engagement.
